This large house on the outskirts of Brecon has an unusual style, and when our clients approached us to add a kitchen extension the design solution was not straightforward. An added challenge was the Grade II listed status of the house, and the fact that a proposal by a different agent had been refused by Brecon Beacons National Park Authority.
Our clients approached us to design an extension to this Grade II listed hall house, situated just outside the Brecon Beacons National Park boundary.
They had bought the property forty years ago as a long-term restoration project, and over the years the almost derelict buildings have been sympathetically upgraded.
Refurbishment and extension of this modern bungalow created a comfortable retirement home for our clients with room for family to visit.
The loft was converted and dormer windows inserted to make full use of the space.
Our clients were very happy with their riverside house apart from the lack of connection to the garden.
They decided to combine a small extension to the kitchen with landscaping works to add a patio, giving them the ‘outdoor room’ they wanted.
This is just a handful of the hundreds of projects we have successfully delivered.
