Kitchen extension on listed building

This large house on the outskirts of Brecon has an unusual style, and when our clients approached us to add a kitchen extension the design solution was not straightforward.  An added challenge was the Grade II listed status of the house, and the fact that a proposal by a different agent had been refused by Brecon Beacons National Park Authority.

Our clients approached us to design an extension to this Grade II listed hall house, situated just outside the Brecon Beacons National Park boundary. 

They had bought the property forty years ago as a long-term restoration project, and over the years the almost derelict buildings have been sympathetically upgraded.

Conversion of a Listed barn near Talgarth

Conversion of a Listed barn near TalgarthOur client farms in the Brecon Beacons.  The large farm is a family business and together they own a complex of buildings including farmhouse and several barns, all listed. 

Usable living space was tight for three generations and they decided that the time had come to convert one of the barns.
